Studio pottery is not decoration first — it is useful beauty made one vessel at a time. At Hill Clay Atelier we throw, trim, and glaze slowly, letting stoneware and porcelain carry the mark of the hand and the mood of the Parma hills.

The potter
Raised between Emilia’s kitchens and the quiet of the Appennine foothills, Elena works in high-fired stoneware and translucent porcelain. Her practice sits in the lineage of studio pottery: honest clay, considered glaze, and forms meant for daily use.
She welcomes visitors by appointment, teaches small wheel groups, and occasionally hosts a short artist residency when the kiln schedule allows.

Location
The atelier sits on a hillside lane about thirty minutes from Parma, with views toward the plain on clear days. Woods, vines, and quiet roads — a place made for slow making.
