Hill Clay Atelier

Stoneware and porcelain shaped by hand on the hills above Noceto — quiet forms, ash glazes, and the patience of the kiln.

Studio pottery

Clay, fire, and the hillside

Studio pottery is not decoration first — it is useful beauty made one vessel at a time. At Hill Clay Atelier we throw, trim, and glaze slowly, letting stoneware and porcelain carry the mark of the hand and the mood of the Parma hills.

“A good pot should feel inevitable in the hand — as if the clay always meant to become that form.” Elena Rossi

The potter

Elena Rossi

Raised between Emilia’s kitchens and the quiet of the Appennine foothills, Elena works in high-fired stoneware and translucent porcelain. Her practice sits in the lineage of studio pottery: honest clay, considered glaze, and forms meant for daily use.

She welcomes visitors by appointment, teaches small wheel groups, and occasionally hosts a short artist residency when the kiln schedule allows.
